Park Sheldon Physical Therapy
Mobile service for Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation

What is Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy, anyway?
Pelvic floor therapy is a specialized form of physical therapy that focuses on the the evaluation and treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction.

Our pelvic floor consists of muscles, ligaments, and connective tissues that support the bladder, uterus/prostate, and rectum. When there is weakness, tightness, or dysfunction of the pelvic floor, therapy can help address the impairments so that proper pelvic floor function can be restored. Treatments usually consist of specific pelvic floor exercises, biofeedback, manual therapy, education and lifestyle modifications, and individualized home exercise programs.
Common Conditions:
Bladder and bowel leakage
Pain with sexual activity
Pregnancy and postpartum issues
Abdominal/core weakness
Post-operative healing (c-section, hysterectomy, prostatectomy, etc)
Pelvic pain, groin/testicular pain, low back pain
Prolapse
Vulvodynia
Vaginismus
Treatment from the comfort of your own home, less wasted time with commute or interrupting your workday. Aside from being passionate about helping those with pelvic floor issues, I am also placing focus on those who are receiving/have received cancer treatments. Chemotherapy, radiation, and surgeries, along with some medications, can affect endurance, cardiovascular and bone health, and tissue changes to fascia/muscles, just to name a few.
