ABOUT
ANGELA
PARK-SHELDON
Dr. Angela Park-Sheldon, PT, DPT, graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, School of Health Related Professions in 2006 with her doctorate in Physical Therapy, magna cum laude. She majored in Exercise Science and Sports Studies and minored in Spanish at Rutgers College, Rutgers University in 2002. Angela was born in Brazil, raised in NY/NJ, and settled in Charlotte in 2020 with her husband and two boys.

Her experience runs the span of the rehabilitation spectrum, from inpatient acute care, neurologic care, vestibular therapy, geriatric care, and outpatient orthopedic care. Being exposed to different cultures growing up has been a blessing; Angela speaks 4 languages and has a very open and inclusive outlook on life. She has always been fascinated by how the human body heals, and to be able to empower others to take control of their pain, affected mobility, and function has continuously fueled her passion.
Being a mom and a recent breast cancer survivor have fed those flames even more, and rerouted her path from orthopedic rehab towards pelvic floor therapy, women's health, and rehab during and post-cancer treatments. Having to go through two c-sections, cancer treatments, and a hysterectomy herself, Angela feels she has all the more empathy and understanding to educate and treat women (and men!) about the power they can have to treat themselves.

Whether it's pain, weakness, fatigue, pregnancy-related aches and pains, various forms of incontinence, impaired sexual function, or post-operative care, Angela wants individuals to know that they don't have to accept these issues as "that's just the way it is," and that they can be the best versions of themselves with less pain and limitations.
